Confirmed: Marvel Rivals will be getting 2 heroes every 3 months

NetEase Games is committed to keeping Marvel Rivals fresh and exciting for its players through regular updates. The development team plans to roll out updates approximately every month and a half, introducing two new heroes every quarter. This approach ensures that players always have something new to explore when they return to the game.

In an insightful interview, game director Guangyun Chen explained that each seasonal update is thoughtfully divided into two phases. The first half of the season will feature the introduction of one new hero, while the second half will bring the arrival of another. This strategy is designed to keep both the audience and the players consistently engaged.

In addition to new heroes, Marvel Rivals will enhance the gaming experience with updates to maps, storylines, and objectives. Among the characters that have been teased, Blade, who is not yet playable, and Altron, whose details have surfaced through leaks, have already captured the community's attention. Furthermore, the entire Fantastic Four team has been recently unveiled, adding to the excitement.

The game has achieved remarkable commercial success, generating around $100 million globally, with a significant portion of its earnings coming from the Chinese market, according to the Chinese publication GameLook. Marvel, renowned for its dominance in the film industry, has made a strategic move into the gaming sector with Marvel Rivals.

Despite a less successful venture with Square Enix's Avengers, Marvel Rivals has successfully filled a niche in the game-service genre. The NetEase studio has delivered a top-tier heroic shooter featuring a roster of compelling characters, which has been well-received since its launch.
