Rare Concord Plaque Fetches $3K+ After Donation

Author:Kristen Update:Dec 11,2025

A commemorative plaque celebrating Sony's troubled shooter Concord has surfaced for auction on a Goodwill online store, with bids surpassing $3,000.

The plaque, dedicated to "funding Freegunner, Northstar Crew" member Chelsea Grace, marks the "worldwide Concord launch" on August 23, 2024. Grace was credited as outsourcing and co-development lead, though it's unclear whether she personally donated the plaque or if it was lost and later donated when PlayStation shuttered developer Firewalk Studios in late 2023.

Concord, a live-service hero shooter from Sony's Firewalk Studios, has become one of PlayStation's most notable failures. Due to abysmal player engagement, Sony discontinued the game just two weeks after launch. Reports estimate it sold roughly 25,000 copies. Our review scored Concord a 7/10, noting: "While Concord lacks innovation and depth compared to other hero shooters, its polished competitive gameplay, 16 distinct characters, and 12 well-crafted maps showed potential for long-term success."

Unsurprisingly, this collectible plaque has drawn significant attention—with bids exceeding $3,002 at press time (via Dexerto). Proceeds will benefit Goodwill, a nonprofit supporting career development for over 25 million individuals.

Tim Miller, creator of Amazon Prime Video’s Secret Level, publicly addressed Concord's shutdown for the first time last November, stating: "I genuinely don’t understand why it failed. The team was immensely talented and gave their best—it's heartbreaking."

The flop proved financially devastating for Sony. While Concord's initial development budget reportedly reached $200 million, insiders confirm this didn't cover full production costs, IP rights acquisition, or Firewalk Studios' purchase. Parent company ProbablyMonsters secured $200 million in funding back in 2021.
