Riyo Games' upcoming turn-based JRPG, Threads of Time, a nostalgic homage to classic titles like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy, is coming to Xbox and PC! This exciting announcement, made during the Xbox showcase at Tokyo Game Show 2024, promises a blend of retro charm and modern polish.

Threads of Time PS5 and Switch Release Still Pending

Currently in development for Xbox Series X/S and Steam, Threads of Time boasts stunning 2.5D pixel art and captivating anime cutscenes. While a release date remains unconfirmed, and PS5 and Nintendo Switch releases are yet to be announced, anticipation is high, with many comparing it to the critically acclaimed Sea of Stars.

The developers at Riyo Games describe their vision as creating "retro-infused RPGs that awaken treasured childhood memories," a sentiment born from their own shared passion for classic RPGs.

Players will journey through diverse eras, from prehistoric times to a futuristic robotic age, unraveling a sinister plot that threatens the very fabric of time. A diverse cast of characters, including Rye (a swordsman from 1000 AD), Bo (a veterinarian from 12,000,000 BC), Rin (a kitsune from 2400 AD), and others, will join the adventure.
