China has approved the release of the Genshin Impact, GTA and ZZZ hybrid

Ananta, formerly known as Project Mugen, is gearing up for launch, having recently unveiled its title and a captivating trailer. This open-world urban RPG, developed by a collaboration between NetEase Studios, Thunder Fire Studio, and Naked Rain, is generating significant global buzz.

Early promotional materials have highlighted Ananta's unique blend of familiar gameplay elements reminiscent of popular titles like Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero, and even GTA, all presented within a striking anime aesthetic. The game's setting, Nova, is described as a sun-drenched coastal city brimming with mystery and opportunities for exploration. Players will take on the role of an A.C.D. agent.

Approved for release in China, Ananta is slated for a 2025 launch across PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile platforms. The December 5th trailer showcased key features, including four-player team-based battles, a visually stunning art style, and fluid, high-speed movement. The developers emphasize the game's compelling mix of recognizable environments infused with supernatural elements.
