The Battle Of Polytopia Buffs The Aquarion Tribe, Making Them Thalassic Superstars!

Midjiwan has released a significant update for The Battle of Polytopia, completely revamping the Aquarion Tribe. This update overhauls the original special tribe, first introduced in 2017.

Aquarion's Aquatic Transformation

The Aquarion units receive a dramatic makeover. Land units now boast mermaid tails, making them amphibious or fully aquatic. This grants them effortless water traversal, although they move slower on land. A new flooded terrain mechanic allows land and naval units to occupy the same spaces for the first time.

Buildings have also adapted to the aquatic environment. Construction is now possible on water, with Lost Cities nestled within deep-sea ruins, providing ideal bases for naval warfare. A new structure, the Atoll, connects water cities, eliminating the need for roads. Aqua Crops return, permanently enhancing the Aquarion arsenal, functioning similarly to land-based crops.

New aquatic creatures join the fray. Sharks ambush, puffers provide long-range bombardment, and jellies unleash electric attacks. Returning favorites, the Tridentions and Crabs, also receive enhancements; crabs now flood crossed tiles, synergizing perfectly with the mermaid-tailed troops.
