Embark on your *Avowed* adventure by choosing from a diverse, yet limited, selection of races within Eora's rich fantasy world, inherited from the *Pillars of Eternity* series. While the Kith encompass a wide array of species, your character creation options are currently more focused.

Playable Races in *Avowed*

Humans (Folk)

Humans, or Folk as they're known in-game, are the most prevalent race in Avowed, offering extensive customization options. The character creator provides a wealth of presets, detailed sliders for skin tone, and a diverse selection of hair textures, ensuring a wide range of representation.

Elves

Elves are another playable race, visually similar to humans but distinguished by their characteristic pointed ears and subtly different facial structures.

Godlikes

While all Envoys are Godlikes in the game's narrative, players can choose to incorporate or omit Godlike features in their character. These features offer unique hair and facial options, ranging from subtle to striking, with 14 facial and four hair options available at launch. These choices are available regardless of race or body type.

Character Customization: Gender and Body Type

Avowed offers four body types: two masculine and two feminine, available for both Humans and Elves. Two corresponding voice options are available for each gender. Players also select their character's pronouns (he/him, she/her, they/them), allowing for further personalization.

Unplayable Races

While several Kith races populate the world of Avowed as NPCs (including Dwarves, Aumaua, and Orlans), they are currently unavailable for player characters. However, future updates or DLC might expand character creation options.
