AR Game Expands Horizons with Localization

Pocket Gamer recently discovered Dynabytes' Fantasma, a multiplayer augmented reality (AR) GPS adventure game at Gamescom Latam. This exciting title features a recent update adding Japanese, Korean, Malay, and Portuguese language support, with German, Italian, and Spanish coming soon.

The game challenges players to hunt and battle mischievous Fantasma creatures using portable electromagnetic fields as bait. Combat takes place in AR, requiring players to maneuver their phones to keep the Fantasma in view while tapping to shoot. Defeated Fantasma are then captured in special bottles.

Fantasma creatures appear based on your real-world location, encouraging exploration. Deployable sensors expand your search radius, and cooperative gameplay allows for team battles.
