Animal Crossing Inspired

NetEase Games unveiled their charming life simulation game, Floatopia, at Gamescom. Expected to launch on multiple platforms, including Android, sometime in 2025, Floatopia offers a unique experience. This whimsical title invites players to explore a world of floating islands and quirky inhabitants.

The game's trailer opens with an apocalyptic announcement, but fear not! This is a lighthearted, "My Time at Portia"-style end of the world, not a "Fallout" scenario.

A Cute Apocalypse

Floatopia presents a world of fragmented landmasses suspended in the sky, populated by humans with varied supernatural abilities. Interestingly, not all powers are created equal, leading to some amusing imbalances.

Players become Island Managers, engaging in activities reminiscent of Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley – farming, cloud fishing, and island decorating. The unique floating island home allows for exploration and socializing with other characters in exotic locations.

Multiplayer is optional; players can choose to share their island paradise with friends or keep it a private sanctuary. The game features a diverse cast of characters with unique personalities and powers.

While a specific release date hasn't been confirmed, pre-registration is available on the official website.
