PlatyGuard: Swarm Slayer Launches

PlatyGuard: Swarm Slayer is a fresh action roguelike now available on Android. Developed by ChillyRoom, the studio brings its experience from popular titles like Soul Knight, Meow Hunter, and the more recent Inkvasion to this mobile release.

Parry Counter Meets Action Roguelike

You are thrust into a post-apocalyptic wasteland steeped in biopunk and dark sci-fi themes. This world is defined by Hive portals, corporate-caused disasters, and insectoid monstrosities that have completely reshaped humanity's future.

The core gameplay involves selecting one of the numerous Platyguards to venture into this ruined landscape. Players can choose from over a dozen unique heroes.

Some excel at precise parries, while others favor overwhelming enemies with heavy combos or employing hit-and-run shooting tactics. The game also features charged attacks, assassination-focused mobility, and other specialized mechanics.

PlatyGuard: Swarm Slayer fills each run with hundreds of skills, items, and powerful synergies. Builds focused on magical devastation or screen-clearing lightning storms are all possible, provided you can survive the challenges.

Across six expansive zones, the wasteland transitions from derelict shelters to plague-infested territories. Each area presents distinct hazards and features over 50 enemy types. Elite monsters and bosses often appear with aggressive intent.

The developers have focused on keeping the combat sharp and responsive. This design complements the core gameplay loop of identifying enemy weaknesses, evading attacks, engaging in clashes, and breaking defenses to secure eliminations.

The game's launch is accompanied by a minor update. Lark's technique has been adjusted, allowing thrown shurikens to parry targets or deflect incoming projectiles. The Prophecy – Build Ban feature has been expanded, letting players block unwanted builds directly from a stage's starting room. Additionally, drone range is no longer hindered by environmental obstacles.

You can download PlatyGuard: Swarm Slayer on the Google Play Store.
