Squad Busters approche de son premier anniversaire, et Supercell dévoile sa mise à jour transformative 2.0. Lancée le 13 mai, cette refonte majeure vise à revitaliser le jeu, qui a eu du mal à fidéliser un public depuis ses débuts en 2024. La version 2.0 peut-elle changer la donne ?

Une refonte complète du gameplay

Squad Busters 2.0 donne l’impression d’un nouveau départ, comme son nom l’indique. Des mécaniques de combat aux conditions de victoire, le jeu subit un changement radical.

La fonctionnalité phare est l’introduction des Héros. Les joueurs choisissent désormais un Héros pour diriger leur équipe, inspiré de personnages familiers. Si votre Héros tombe, la partie est terminée.

Les mécaniques de combat évoluent également. Les attaques ne nécessitent plus de pause dans les mouvements, mêlant fluidité et combat pour des batailles plus rapides et intenses.

Les conditions de victoire ont aussi changé. Au lieu de vaincre tous les adversaires, la victoire repose désormais sur l’élimination du Héros ennemi. Certains fans se demandent si cela ne s’inspire pas trop du format de Brawl Stars.

Abandon des fonctionnalités héritées

La mise à jour 2.0 supprime plusieurs modes, y compris Doppelgangers, Double Trouble, Epic Overload, Loot Machines et Hatchling Herder. Certains skins et systèmes de progression sont également retirés, Supercell offrant des Points de Héros et d’autres récompenses en compensation.

Les changements rapides de Supercell reflètent les difficultés de Squad Busters à égaler le succès de Clash of Clans ou Brawl Stars.

Avec le premier anniversaire le 29 mai qui approche, Supercell cherche à raviver l’enthousiasme. Des événements quotidiens de piñata seront bientôt lancés, offrant des chances de débloquer un nouveau Héros, Mortis.
