Microids annonce la sortie à l'automne d'un Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest remasterisé pour toutes les principales plateformes. Cette version mise à jour du classique de 1994 conserve le charme de l'original tout en intégrant des améliorations modernes. Développé par la version 2.21 et publié par Microids, le remake présente des visuels améliorés, un gameplay raffiné et une nouvelle bande-son du compositeur original Philippe Vachey.

Les origines du jeu remontent à Adeline Software International, un studio aujourd'hui disparu composé en grande partie d'anciens élèves d'Infogrames et responsable de l'original Little Big Adventure et de sa suite. Microids, qui développe actuellement un nouveau titre Totally Spies, s'occupe des tâches de publication.

Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest propose une histoire captivante, des commandes repensées, une conception de niveau mise à jour, une version améliorée de l'arme emblématique de Twinsen et une nouvelle vision artistique. Le récit est centré sur la quête de Twinsen pour libérer les habitants de Twinsun du contrôle tyrannique du Dr Funfrock, dont les inventions de clonage et de téléportation ont plongé la planète dans le chaos.

Auparavant disponible sur GOG.com (PC et Mac), puis plus tard sur Android et iOS, l'original Little Big Adventure connaît un regain d'intérêt. Le développement de ce remake fait suite aux annonces 2021 de l'équipe 2.21, co-fondée par Didier Chanfray, connu pour son travail sur Time Commando. Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest sera lancé cette année sur PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch et PC (Steam, Epic Games Store et GOG).
