Le chef des studios de DC, James Gunn, a des nouvelles passionnantes pour les fans, confirmant que Peacemaker Season 2 sera présentée sur Max le 21 août . Cette version suit de près la première de la première du 11 juillet de Superman , marquant le lancement officiel de l'univers DC redémarré de Gunn (DCU). Peacemaker Season 2 sera le troisième épisode de ce nouvel univers, après la série télévisée Creature Commandos de l'année dernière et le prochain film Superman cet été.

Gunn et le co-PDG Peter Safran éloignent le DCU de l'univers étendu DC critiqué (DCEU), qui comprenait des films comme Justice League , Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice et Man of Steel .
