Nintendo a officiellement révélé que les commandes souris des Joy-Con seront fonctionnelles sur l'écran d'accueil de la Switch 2.

Depuis l'annonce de la Nintendo Switch 2, les spéculations allaient bon train concernant les capacités des nouvelles commandes souris des Joy-Con. Le mois dernier, Nintendo a confirmé l'existence d'un « mode souris » dédié, permettant aux utilisateurs de faire glisser les manettes sur des surfaces tout en utilisant les sticks analogiques pour les clics gauche et droit, imitant ainsi une souris traditionnelle. Les joueurs peuvent même utiliser deux Joy-Con simultanément – une dans chaque main – ou combiner le mode souris avec les commandes standard.

D'autres détails ont émergé grâce à une démonstration sur l'application Nintendo Today, partagée ensuite sur X/Twitter, confirmant que la navigation souris des Joy-Con 2 s'étend également au menu d'accueil de la Switch 2.

Selon Nintendo, placer le Joy-Con 2 face contre une surface déclenche l'apparition d'un curseur à l'écran. « Pour activer le curseur, reposez la manette sur une surface plane et déplacez-la comme démontré », a expliqué l'entreprise.

« Lorsque le mode souris est activé, incliner le stick de contrôle permet de naviguer dans les menus », a ajouté Nintendo. « Les commandes souris fonctionnent parfaitement sur l'écran d'accueil et les logiciels compatibles. » Revenir à l'utilisation du stick directionnel est aussi simple que de repositionner le Joy-Con à l'horizontale.

Bien que la liste complète des jeux compatibles avec la souris n'ait pas encore été dévoilée, Nintendo a démontré cette fonctionnalité avec les versions Switch 2 de Mario Party Jamboree et Metroid Prime 4, ainsi qu'avec le jeu de sport Drag x Drive.
