FortiToken Mobile

FortiToken Mobile is a robust One Time Password (OTP) generator app designed for MultiFactor Authentication on your mobile device. This OATH-compliant application supports both event-based and time-based OTPs, serving as a client component in Fortinet’s secure, user-friendly, and cost-effective authentication solution. To validate these OTPs, you will need to integrate with FortiOS, FortiAuthenticator, or FortiToken Cloud as your OTP validation server or service.

Privacy and Control:

Your privacy is paramount with FortiToken Mobile. The app cannot alter your phone's settings, capture photos or videos, record audio, or send emails. It also cannot access your browsing history. FortiToken Mobile requires your explicit permission to send notifications or modify any settings. Importantly, it cannot perform a remote wipe on your device. The app only checks your OS version to ensure compatibility with the app's version. During the manual setup of FortiToken tokens, third-party tokens, and Token Transfer, you might enter sensitive information such as your email address or token seeds.

While FortiToken Mobile respects your settings without your consent, certain permissions are necessary for its operation:

• Camera Access: Required for scanning QR codes to simplify token activation.
• TouchID/FaceID: Utilized to enhance the app's security features.
• Internet Access: Essential for token activation and receiving push notifications.
• Email Feedback: The app can automatically fill the "Sender" field when you choose to send feedback via email.
• File Sharing: Allows internal file sharing between applications to attach files to feedback emails.
• Wake Lock: Keeps the phone awake during database upgrades to prevent data corruption.
