Uber Lite is essentially Uber, but with a simpler interface. It allows you to request a ride in just four taps, with minimal typing, and you can pay in cash. With a download size of only 5 MBs, it's incredibly lightweight and can be used without a strong internet connection. Safety is also a priority, with features that let you share your trip status in real time with your loved ones.

How does Uber Lite work?

Requesting a ride with Uber Lite is straightforward and can be done in four simple steps:

1. Open the app.
2. Confirm your current location and tap to select your destination.
3. Choose the type of vehicle you need.
4. Confirm your ride.

After you've requested a ride, your location and destination are shared with your driver. The app provides you with all the necessary details about your trip, including your driver’s name, picture, contact information, vehicle details, progress toward your destination, and estimated time of arrival. Once your trip is complete, you can pay in cash, as Uber Lite does not currently support digital payments.
