What is RSTI?

The Self-Employed Workers' Social Scheme (RSTI) represents a pivotal social cover initiative launched by the National Social Security Fund (CNPS). It's designed to offer robust protection to self-employed workers against illness, accidents, maternity, and, upon reaching retirement, ensures they receive a lifelong pension.

Who is a Self-Employed Worker?

RSTI extends its benefits to all self-employed workers residing in Côte d'Ivoire, whether they are Ivorian or foreign nationals. This inclusive regime safeguards a diverse range of independent professionals, including farmers, artisans, traders, transporters, athletes, artists, consultants, miners, non-salaried entrepreneurs, religious workers, and Ivorians working abroad.

What are the Advantages of RSTI?

In the unfortunate event of illness or an accident leading to incapacity, self-employed individuals enrolled in RSTI receive income based on what they've declared to the CNPS. For maternity, beneficiaries are entitled to 98 days of income support. Upon reaching the age of 60, self-employed workers are eligible for a retirement pension, which is paid for life. In the event of the worker's death, this pension can be transferred to their beneficiaries under specified conditions.
