Record Your Catch

Use this app to create and submit catch records for all English and Welsh under 10 metre (U10m) flag vessels that fish in UK waters. This tool is essential for ensuring compliance with UK fishing regulations and promoting sustainable fishing practices.

All U10m flag vessels are required to record their catch. The data collected helps UK fishing authorities manage fishing levels effectively, ensuring the sustainability of marine resources.

You can use this service if you are a:

• registered vessel owner
• skipper

If you are a registered vessel owner, you should receive an invite email. The timing of this email depends on your vessel size. You have one calendar month after receiving the email to register and start using the service.

If you are a skipper, please contact the owner of the vessel to obtain an invite.

If you are a member of a producer organisation and lease quota, you should not use the online record your catch service. Instead, continue to record your catch using a paper logbook.

This service replaces:

• the NEP1 form
• the MSAR1 form, however, depending on your location, local Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authorities (IFCAs) may require additional information
• the requirement to complete a logbook when leasing fish quota and/or when fishing in 2 ICES areas (currently IV4/VIId and VIId/VIIe)
