Ik was niet van plan om deze week meer Pokémon -kaarten te kopen, maar toen zag ik dat de Scarlet & Violet - stijgende Sparks Booster Bundle nog op voorraad was op Amazon voor $ 45.02 na zijn enorme Pokémon TCG Restock. De timing kan niet beter zijn, met de Amazon Spring Sale in volle gang en biedt veel hete sets zolang de voorraad strekt. Mijn wilskracht verkruimelde sneller dan een basis van 60 pk met een 390-schade Hydreigon Ex.

De stijgende vonkenset is chaos op de beste manier. Het beschikt over achtervolgingskaarten die het waard zijn om te beoordelen en te verzamelen, zoals de $ 432 Pikachu EX Special Illustration Rare. Ja, je leest dat goed. Pikachu is niet alleen een waardevol verzamelobject, maar ook een krachtpatser in de strijd. De Topaz Bolt kan bijna alles van het bord vrijmaken, terwijl Resolute Heart het frustrerend moeilijk maakt om uit te knock -out.

Dan is er de Latias EX- en Latios-combinatie, die een volledig romantiekmoment trekt met hun bijpassende verbonden kunstwerken. Latias, de zeldzamere en duurdere tweeling van meer dan $ 200, lijkt die grote broer of zus energie te hebben. Ondertussen straalt Milotic EX supermodelvibes uit met zijn lichte en schaduwdrama, en het gaat ook effectief tegen Tera Pokémon.

Mijn persoonlijke favoriet? Ceruledge. Het geeft neon koorts dromen, en ik bedoel dat als een compliment. Dit is de eerste keer dat de kaart waardevol is en ik denk dat illustrator Rond een staande ovatie verdient - of op zijn minst een koffie. Ceruledge is niet eens een toppokémon competitief, maar met deze kunst kan het me niet schelen.

Als u een verzamelaar bent, valt het waardepotentieel niet te ontkennen. Als je een speler bent, hebben sommige van deze kaarten een klap op het slagveld. En als je gewoon geniet van glanzende dingen en de sensatie van gokken van $ 45 op karton, welkom bij de club. Ik heb al een doos geopend en ben mezelf overtuigen dat ik een andere nodig heb voor onderzoeksdoeleinden.

De bundel bevat zes boosterpakketten, dus je hebt geen zware slagmensen gegarandeerd, maar gezien hoe snel deze uitverkocht zijn, zou ik niet te lang wachten. Pikachu gaat tenslotte niet trekken.
