Yakuza Merch: Cult Clothes, Traffic Cones & More

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is letting fans vote on its next line of official merchandise! The choices are…eclectic, to say the least. Fans can select from a whopping 100 items, with the top two vote-getters promised for release within the next two years. The voting, currently only available on the official Japanese website, offers a wild array of options.

While some items are more conventional—like a 20th-anniversary hoodie or a Yakuza-themed pencil case—others are delightfully bizarre, drawing inspiration from the series' famously over-the-top moments.

Think Munan Suzuki's cult outfit from Yakuza 0, the giant traffic cone Majima uses in Yakuza Kiwami, or the intriguingly named "Puffy Gold Pants." Other options include Majima's sake cup from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Akiyama's gold watch, Kiryu's fountain pen from Yakuza 6, Kashiwagi's tambourine from Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Kiryu's wrestling mask from Yakuza 3, and Saejima's prison uniform from Yakuza 4. The list goes on!

2025 marks not only the anniversary but also the release of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth on February 21st. While the studio hasn't announced any other anniversary projects yet, given their history, another release isn't out of the question.

RGG Studio is renowned for its prolific output. In just the last five years, they've released Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Judgment Remastered, Lost Judgment, Like a Dragon: Ishin, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth, along with two Super Monkey Ball games and an enhanced remaster of Virtua Fighter 5—a total of nine games! Two releases in a single year wouldn't be unprecedented for this incredibly productive studio.
