Xbox Game Pass January 2025: New Games and Departures

Microsoft has unveiled its first Xbox Game Pass lineup of 2025, confirming several anticipated titles and announcing the departure of others. Leaks proved accurate, revealing the arrival of highly anticipated games like Diablo and UFC 5, although access will be limited to specific tiers.

The January 2025 additions include seven games, starting with Road 96, immediately available across all Game Pass tiers (including PC). This marks the game's return to the service after a previous stint. Six other games join the lineup later in the month: Lightyear Frontier (Preview), My Time at Sandrock, Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders, and Rolling Hills on January 8th, followed by UFC 5 and Diablo on January 14th. Note that Diablo is exclusive to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, while UFC 5 is limited to Game Pass Ultimate subscribers only.

New Games Arriving in January 2025:

• Diablo (January 14th - Ultimate & PC Game Pass)

Alongside the new games, several Game Pass Ultimate perks launched on January 7th, including a weapon charm for Apex Legends and DLC for First Descendant, Vigor, and Metaball.

However, this influx of new content also means some games are leaving the service. Six titles are departing on January 15th: Common'hood, Escape Academy, Exoprimal, Figment, Insurgency Sandstorm, and Those Who Remain.

This is just the first half of January's updates; further announcements for the latter half of the month and beyond are expected soon.
