Microsoft Unveils Robust Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2 Lineup

Microsoft's Xbox Wire preempts their January 23rd Xbox Developer Direct with a sneak peek at the upcoming Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2 additions. This wave boasts a diverse range of titles, including several day-one Game Pass releases. The Developer Direct will showcase additional day-one titles, namely Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and a fourth, currently unannounced game.

The wave begins January 21st with Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), a day-one release for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This snowy sequel to Lonely Mountains: Downhill features up to eight-player cross-platform multiplayer, allowing for cooperative descents or intense competitive races.

January 22nd sees a flurry of additions:

• Flock (Console) joins Game Pass Standard, offering a multiplayer cooperative experience centered around collecting adorable flying creatures.
• Gigantic: Rampage Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC) arrives on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. This definitive edition of the 5v5 MOBA hero shooter provides a dynamic team-based experience.
