WoW Patch 11.1 Expands World with Vast New Zones

Author:Kristen Update:Dec 25,2024

World of Warcraft's upcoming Patch 11.1, "Undermine," introduces a sprawling subterranean Goblin city and several new subzones. This expansion significantly expands the game's world.

Key additions include:

  • Undermine: The main focus, a vast underground Goblin city brimming with towering structures, intricate streets, and ingenious gadgets.

  • Gutterville: A corrupted area within the Ringing Deeps, potentially linked to Undermine and featuring Excavation Site 9, one of two new Delves in Patch 11.1. Its maroon coloring suggests a Black Blood contamination.

  • Kaja’Coast: A new Goblin encampment situated on Zuldazar's southwestern coast, near Bilgewater Bonanza. This location is likely another access point to Undermine, possibly featuring the tram system showcased in the initial 11.1 announcement.

Data mined maps reveal Slam Central Station as Undermine's central hub, with five apparent access points. Given Gutterville and Kaja’Coast, three more locations may be similarly updated.

While a firm release date is pending, Patch 11.1 is expected in mid-to-late February, with PTR access anticipated in early January. Players can soon explore these new areas firsthand.
