  • MLBB Women's Invitational makes its comeback in July 2025
  • 16 elite teams will compete from July 15-19
  • Can defending champions Smart Omega Empress retain their crown?

After delivering one of the most electrifying finals in 2024 Esports World Cup history, the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women's Invitational (MWI) confirms its return to Riyadh in July 2025. Last year's tournament witnessed Smart Omega Empress' stunning victory over reigning champions Team Vitality, breaking their three-year dominance across 24 consecutive tournaments.

The 2025 edition promises even greater intensity, with 16 top-tier all-female MLBB squads vying for both prestige and the largest prize pool to date. Scheduled for July 15-19, the event begins with a double-elimination Group Stage featuring all qualified teams.

Eight teams will progress to single-elimination playoffs, competing for a $550,000 total prize pool plus a $10,000 MVP award for the tournament's most outstanding player.

This year's qualification process reaches further than previous editions, attracting elite players from virtually every major region. Confirmed participants include DreamMax (MWI 2025 LATAM Qualifiers), CFU Serendipity (Queen Legends Season 1), NAVI MY (MYSG Qualifier), and Falcons Vega MENA (Carry1st Africa Cup).

Remaining spots will be determined through regional tournaments including BOG Season 1, Athena League, and Lady MVP Season 6, with Chinese, North American, Mekong, Mongolian, and Turkish qualifiers concluding in coming weeks.

MWI 2025 forms part of the broader Esports World Cup 2025, which brings together premier esports organizations across multiple games. Defending champions Smart Omega Empress face formidable competition from international powerhouses, making this year's title race particularly unpredictable.
