Author:Kristen Update:Aug 15,2026

CD Projekt Red, the developer behind The Witcher 4, has officially confirmed that it will reveal more details about its highly anticipated RPG this week.

During a social media post earlier today, CD Projekt Red announced that it would showcase "the innovative technology and features powering The Witcher 4, and beyond" at Epic Games' State of Unreal briefing tomorrow.

Epic's keynote presentation begins at 9:30 AM Eastern Time on June 3 and will be streamed online.

PlayLast year, Epic dedicated part of its State of Unreal showcase to a preview of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, the Captain America and Black Panther-led game from Uncharted creative director Amy Hennig.

A similar spotlight on The Witcher 4 would offer our first glimpse of in-game (or at least engine-rendered) visuals for the project, which has previously only been seen through a lengthy CGI trailer. Will we even see actual gameplay? We will have to wait and find out.

We'll be coming together with @UnrealEngine to present during the State of Unreal.

We’re looking forward to showcasing some of the innovative technology & features that will power The Witcher 4, and beyond.

Another intriguing detail is CD Projekt's reference to technology that powers not just The Witcher 4, but also "beyond." Does this hint at future titles in the new era of The Witcher franchise? Or might we get a sneak peek at another UE5-powered project from CD Projekt Red, such as Cyberpunk 2?

The Witcher 4 is set to continue CD Projekt's beloved RPG series as it enters a new chapter, with Geralt's adoptive daughter Ciri taking the lead role. Last month, Doug Cockle, the voice of Geralt, responded to criticism regarding the game's new protagonist, suggesting that so-called fans should "read the damn books."

Stay tuned for all the major updates — including that first in-game look at The Witcher 4 — from State of Unreal 2025 right here on IGN tomorrow.
