How to Watch The Monkey - Showtimes and Streaming Release Date

Author:Kristen Update:Mar 21,2025

Oz Perkins, hot off the heels of *Longlegs*, delivers another chilling horror adaptation from the master of macabre, Stephen King. *The Monkey*, starring Theo James as a pair of haunted twins, promises a wild ride. Joining James in this creepy monkey caper are Tatiana Maslany, Elijah Wood, and Adam Scott, adding star power to the unsettling premise of a cymbal-clanging, death-dealing toy.

IGN's Tom Jorgenson raves, calling *The Monkey* "one of the best horror-comedies (and Stephen King adaptations) in recent memory, exploding off the screen with both gory kills and big laughs." Sounds like a perfect blend of thrills and chills!

*The Monkey* Streaming Release Date

Skip Netflix and Max; *The Monkey* will eventually land on Hulu. Neon, the distributor, has a deal with Hulu securing the streaming rights. Unlike many films going straight to streaming, Neon's releases take a while to hit the platform. Consider *Longlegs*, which premiered in theaters on July 12, 2024, and arrived on Hulu February 14, 2025 – a seven-month gap. Expect a similar wait for *The Monkey*, but digital rentals or purchases (Prime Video, etc.) should be available by early May.

What Is *The Monkey* About?

Does *The Monkey* Have a Post-Credits Scene?

While there's no traditional post-credits scene, a "surprise" awaits those who stick around. For details (spoiler alert!), check out IGN's guide to *The Monkey*'s ending.
