While World of Warcraft's 20th Anniversary event has concluded, exciting activities continue to engage players awaiting Patch 11.1. The return of the Turbulent Timeways event offers a unique reward system. This guide explains how to maximize your gains.

Turbulent Timeways Event Details

Unlike typical, more spaced-out Timewalking events, Turbulent Timeways features five consecutive weeks of Timewalking dungeons (January 1st to February 25th). Each week highlights dungeons from a different expansion:

  • Week 1: Mists of Pandaria (January 7th-14th)
  • Week 2: Warlords of Draenor (January 14th-21st)
  • Week 3: Legion (January 21st-28th)
  • Week 4: Classic (January 28th-February 4th)
  • Week 5: The Burning Crusade (February 4th-11th)
  • Week 6: Wrath of the Lich King (February 11th-18th)
  • Week 7: Cataclysm (February 18th-25th)

Completing a Timewalking dungeon awards a "Knowledge of Timeways" buff (two-hour duration, persists through death), granting a 5% experience bonus. Four stacks upgrade this to "Mastery of Timeways" (three-hour duration, persists through death), boosting experience by 30%. Each subsequent Timewalking dungeon refreshs the buff timer.

To achieve Mastery of Timeways, maintain four stacks of Knowledge of Timeways without letting them expire. Avoid extended AFK periods to prevent stack loss. Expiration before reaching four stacks necessitates restarting.

Turbulent Timeways Rewards

Beyond leveling benefits, Turbulent Timeways offers valuable rewards. The Sandy Shalewing mount, a returning reward from the Dragonflight event, is available for 5,000 Timewarped Badges from Timewalking Vendors.

A new mount, the Timely Buzzbee, is also obtainable. Acquiring this requires achieving the Mastery of Timeways buff during five out of the seven event weeks.
