World of Warcraft Reveals First New Warbands Campsites

World of Warcraft Patch 11.1: New Customizable Character Select Campgrounds

World of Warcraft Patch 11.1 introduces a fun new way to personalize your character selection screen: collectible campsites! Four new backgrounds are available at launch, with more promised in future updates.

Blizzard has enhanced the Warbands character selection screen with customizable camps. Each camp can be named and features unlockable backgrounds. Now live on the Public Test Realm (PTR), Patch 11.1 allows players to explore this system, including the initial four campsites and their unlock methods.

Beyond the original "Adventurer's Rest," Patch 11.1 adds: Ohn'ahran Overlook, Cultists' Quay, Freywold Spring, and Gallagio Grand Gallery. These are showcased, along with their acquisition methods, in a helpful video by WoW content creator MrGM.

New Campgrounds in WoW Patch 11.1

Campground Description Unlock Method
Ohn'ahran Overlook Centaur camp in the Ohn'ahran Plains Logging in after Patch 11.1 is installed
Freywold Spring Hot spring in Freywold Village, Isle of Dorn "All That Khaz" meta-achievement from The War Within
Cultists' Quay Nightfall Sanctum Delve in Hallowfall Season 2 Delver's Journey
Gallagio Grand Gallery Gallywix's casino in Undermine "Racing to a Revolution" meta-achievement from Undermine
Adventurer's Rest Original Warbands campsite Default

The Ohn’ahran Overlook (Dragonflight's Ohn’ahran Plains) is automatically unlocked upon logging in after Patch 11.1. The Cultists’ Quay (Hallowfall's Nightfall Sanctum Delve) is earned via the Season 2 Delver’s Journey. Freywold Spring (Freywold Village) and Gallagio Grand Gallery (Undermine, Liberation of Undermine raid) require completing the "All That Khaz" and "Racing to a Revolution" meta-achievements, respectively.

A new Collections tab displays these campsites, allowing preview and unlocking. The character select screen now includes a dedicated campsite tab, enabling players to select their preferred background or even randomize between favorites.

This customization builds on the Warbands system (WoW: The War Within), suggesting Blizzard's commitment to further innovation. Expect future additions to this feature alongside other collectibles, potentially sourced from new and old content, holiday events, the Trading Post, and even the in-game shop.
