War Thunder Mobile Beta Debuts With Vast Aircraft Arsenal

War Thunder Mobile's open beta for air combat has officially launched! Gaijin Entertainment delivers intense aerial action with over 100 aircraft from three nations (and more to come). This update introduces a full-fledged air tech tree and a dedicated air combat mode, a significant expansion from previous limited aircraft roles.

Previously, aircraft played supporting roles in naval and ground battles. Now, War Thunder Mobile offers a dedicated aerial experience.

The open beta currently features aircraft from the USA, Germany, and the USSR, including iconic planes like the P-51 Mustang, Messerschmitt Bf 109, and La-5. More nations will be added soon.

Players can focus on a single nation's tech tree or diversify their progress across multiple nations. Top-tier aircraft can be obtained via blueprints earned in in-game events, with the first event starting in early October.

The new Aviation campaign allows players to manage their aircraft hangar, research tech trees, and upgrade crews. Squadrons can be formed using up to four aircraft, each customizable with different armaments. See the action in the trailer below!

Gameplay and Customization

The aircraft hangar is central to the experience, allowing vehicle selection, camouflage customization, tech tree navigation, and squad management. Each aircraft slot offers options to change the vehicle, modify weaponry, or upgrade the assigned crew. Squadrons can be built with any aircraft, regardless of class, nation, or rank.
