The wait is over—Lost Records: Bloom and Rage, from the creators of Life is Strange, has arrived

Don't Nod, the French studio behind the acclaimed Life is Strange series, has released the first chapter of their new narrative-driven game. Players can now experience "Tape 1," with "Tape 2" launching free to all owners on April 15th.

Initially unveiled in 2023, the game plunges players into the lives of a close group of friends irrevocably fractured during the summer of 1995. Twenty-seven years later, the specter of that summer returns, unleashing unforeseen and chilling consequences.

Drawing inspiration from classics like It, Yellowjackets, and I Know What You Did Last Summer, the game expertly blends nostalgic charm with the thrills of a psychological thriller. The game is structured into two parts – Bloom and Rage – with only Bloom, the first half of this haunting narrative, available as of February 18th.

The second part, "The Tape," originally scheduled for March, has been delayed until April 15th to allow for further polish and refinement.

The review embargo has now lifted, with OpenCritic reporting an average score of 74/100, suggesting a promising start for this captivating mystery.
