Vampire Survivors PS Release Details Unveiled

UK developer Poncle offers PlayStation 4 and 5 port update for Vampire Survivors. The popular roguelike, which launched in December 2021, received a Nintendo Switch port previously and was announced for PS4 and PS5 this past April.

While a precise release date remains unannounced, Poncle confirmed a Summer 2024 launch window via Twitter. The delay is attributed to the studio's unfamiliarity with PlayStation's submission process and ongoing experimentation with the Trophies system to ensure a smooth, achievement-rich experience mirroring the game's 200+ Steam achievements.

The news was met with positive feedback from fans eager to earn the platinum trophy. This follows the May release of the "Operation Guns" DLC, a Contra-themed expansion featuring new biomes, characters, weapons, and music, and a subsequent hotfix addressing bugs in both the base game and DLC. The PS4 and PS5 versions promise to bring the acclaimed Vampire Survivors experience to a new audience.
