Urshifu Debuts in Pokémon GO's Final Strike: GO Battle Week

As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO draws to a close, the thrilling Final Strike: GO Battle Week is set to commence on May 21st, 2025, and will run through to May 27th. This week marks the culmination of your journey with Kubfu, leading to its evolution into the legendary Urshifu in one of two distinct forms: the Single Strike or the Rapid Strike style. To achieve the Single Strike style, ensure Kubfu is your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style, follow the same process but target 30 Water-type Pokémon during this event.

The Final Strike: GO Battle Week also introduces a Special Research that continues the Seasonal storyline. Available until June 3rd, 2025, this research will reward you with Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon like Charcadet, complete with a Special Background.

May 25th Is a Special Day

Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, you can participate in six-star Max Battles featuring the debut of Gigantamax Machamp. This event comes with several bonuses to enhance your experience: you'll need to travel only one-fourth the normal distance to earn Max Particles, the Max Particle storage cap will increase to 1,600, and all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles. During this period, you'll also receive 8× Max Particles from these battles and gain the ability to make two extra Special Trades.

Don't miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms during the event. These will temporarily double the damage of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can use multiple mushrooms to extend the effect's duration, though the power boost remains constant.
