Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 8: A Deep Dive into New Content

Hearthstone's Season 8 has arrived, bringing exciting new features to Battlegrounds! This update introduces new heroes, minions, cards, and significant gameplay changes for veteran players. Let's explore the highlights.

The Big News: Trinkets!

The core addition is Trinkets – powerful new buffs. There are 56 Lesser Trinkets and 60 Greater Trinkets, with some offering multiple benefits. These become available on turns 6 and 9, presenting four choices each time. The available Trinkets are dynamically influenced by your hero and your current board composition (Elementals, Dragons, Murlocs, etc.), ensuring diverse strategic options.

Meet Marin the Manager!

Marin the Manager is the new hero, offering a significant advantage: access to a Trinket one turn earlier than other heroes. This head start can be game-changing.

Roster Changes and New Additions

Season 8 also features a minion refresh. While 41 minions have been removed, 22 fan favorites return, joined by 27 brand new minions and 2 exciting Tavern spells.

Four noteworthy new cards include:

• Free Travel Winner (Tier 2): A 2/2 minion that disappears after combat, rewarding you with a Triple Reward.
• Inspiring Underdog (Tier 4): Strengthens lower-tier minions on your board.
• Lucky Egg (Tier 5): Transforms a Tier 3 minion into its Golden version.
• Sun Screener (Tier 6): A 10/1 minion granting Divine Shield to your three leftmost minions and your opponent's three leftmost minions.

The Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt

From August 27th to September 17th, participate in the Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt event. Complete event quests to earn a total of 14 card packs, including packs from the Perils in Paradise and Whizbang's Workshop expansions.
