Like the other monitors on this list, the OLED panel sets this monitor apart. Colors seem to leap from the screen. While its peak brightness doesn't match that of a full-size gaming monitor, its infinite contrast still delivers excellent dynamic range. For gaming, you'll need to settle for 60Hz, but the quality of the picture is hard to beat.

The embedded proximity sensor switches the monitor to power-saving mode when it detects you've moved away, helping to save battery and prevent image burn-in. The included case allows you to prop the monitor in both horizontal and vertical modes, offering flexibility in use. For less than $300, you get a gaming monitor with blacks nearly as deep as OLED, using an IPS panel. It also boasts a peak HDR brightness of around 1,000 nits for full-screen whites and well over 1,000 nits for highlights, making it ideal for HDR. Additionally, it uses quantum dots for enhanced color coverage, perfect for creators.

The secret to this monitor's performance is its mini-LED backlight with 1,152 local dimming zones, about twice as many as its nearest competitor. This allows it to perform alongside gaming monitors that cost more than twice as much. While blooming is present, it's reduced compared to other monitors in this price range, and the blacks are deep and rich, with highlights and colors that truly pop. The experience is remarkably close to OLED but without the usual risks and drawbacks.

To achieve its low price, it lacks extra features like a built-in USB hub or KVM, and has few gaming features in its OSD. If you need the utmost color accuracy, you'll want to calibrate it with a colorimeter. Despite these minor limitations, this monitor offers exceptional value.

When choosing the perfect OLED monitor, consider the size that suits your needs. OLED monitors range from compact 24-inch models to massive 55-inch screens. Think about your desk space and intended use. Graphic designers and video editors might prefer larger screens with higher resolutions like 4K for detailed work, while gamers might prioritize refresh rates and response times over size.

Also, consider the features and connectivity options. Do you need multiple HDMI ports for different devices? What about USB-C for data transfer and charging?
