Thomas Waterzooi Unveils Unique Art-Based Mobile Game: Please, Watch The Artwork

Author:Kristen Update:May 31,2026

Thomas Waterzooi is crafting another bold art-driven puzzle experience. This time, players are invited to observe, not interact, with the artwork. Titled Please, Watch The Artwork, the game is set for a mobile release soon, revealed during the Day of the Devs showcase at Summer Game Fest 2025.

Following the success of Please, Touch The Artwork in 2022 and Please, Touch The Artwork 2 in early 2024, this new chapter dives deeper into interactive art with a psychological twist.

This spin-off does not replace the upcoming Please, Touch The Artwork 3, which Waterzooi confirmed remains in progress. Watch the reveal trailer for a sneak peek.

Please, Watch The Artwork on Mobile Evokes Subtle Tension and Quiet Unease

The game centers on a spot-the-difference mechanic. As a nightwatch at the MaMA (Museum of Animated Modern Art), you monitor surveillance feeds of paintings that shift and evolve strangely.

Your task is to spot and report changes before the growing tension overwhelms. Inspired by Edward Hopper’s works, the game animates over 40 reimagined paintings across six themed galleries.

Explore scenes like empty diners, somber bedrooms, and dim streets that pulse and linger. Without music, the ambient sounds of each scene become critical, as audio shifts are clues to uncover.

The title will launch on Android, iOS, PC, and Nintendo Switch, with a mobile release eyed for October. Waterzooi introduced the game with an ASMR-style voiceover, amplifying its eerie vibe. Visit the official website for more details.
