Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will arrive in Call of Duty

Activision has unveiled a new crossover event for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone, bringing back the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This isn't the first time these heroes have graced an Activision shooter.

While specifics regarding the collaboration's content and launch date (described only as "soon") remain undisclosed by the developers, CODWarfareForum has leaked some unconfirmed details.

These leaks suggest the addition of operator skins for all four Turtles (though notably absent are April O'Neil, Master Splinter, and Shredder). New melee weapons and finishers are also anticipated, including a skateboard, katana, nunchucks, and a staff. The crossover's main events are rumored to unfold on the Grind map, a skatepark-themed location.

Despite the announcement, fan reaction has been muted. This isn't due to a lack of popularity for the TMNT franchise, but rather stems from the current troubled state of Black Ops Cold War. The game is plagued by bugs and rampant cheating, leading to a significant decline in its player base. The timing of this collaboration, amidst this ongoing crisis, has left many players uncertain about its impact and longevity.
