"Surprise Marvel Rivals Hero Tops Stats"

To enhance the gameplay experience and boost the popularity of characters like Storm and Black Widow, who were previously underutilized, NetEase Games made significant balance adjustments to Marvel Rivals' heroes in January, as Season 1 kicked off. These updates have had a profound impact on the game's meta.

Storm, in particular, has seen remarkable improvements, skyrocketing her popularity and effectiveness. According to Rivals Meta, she now boasts the highest win rate, marking a significant rise from her earlier position on the hero selection list. In competitive mode, her win percentage has soared above 56%, and her pick rate has climbed to 16%. Previously struggling to reach even a 1% pick rate, Storm now surpasses heroes such as Adam Warlock, Jeff, Spider-Man, Hela, Hulk, Magic, Iron Man, and many more.

Despite these shifts, Cloak and Dagger remain the most popular character pairing of the season, though their win percentage has dipped below 49%. On the other end of the spectrum, Black Widow continues to be the least sought-after and least successful character in the game.

Marvel Rivals is thriving, with hundreds of thousands of players engaging in both casual and competitive modes. Achieving the Grandmaster title is an exclusive feat, attained by only 0.1% of all players, despite the existence of the Celestial rank. Reaching such heights is challenging, but one player has accomplished an astonishing feat. In the first season, this player reached Grandmaster without taking any damage across 108 games, focusing exclusively on healing teammates while playing as Rocket Raccoon. They managed to restore over 2.9 million health points and recorded nearly 3,500 assists while avoiding knockouts.
