DC Studios has unveiled a new trailer for the upcoming Superman film, directed by James Gunn and set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. This three-minute preview offers fans an exciting glimpse into the movie, showcasing an impressive array of superheroes and supervillains.

The trailer highlights the action-packed performances of the supporting cast, including Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, who is seen effortlessly dispatching enemies. Isabela Merced brings Hawkgirl to life, while María Gabriela de Faría plays The Engineer, who is shown destroying robots in the Fortress of Solitude, including the beloved Kelex. A previous trailer depicted a devastated Superman mourning Kelex after a battle, and now we see the aftermath of The Engineer's actions.

Adding to the excitement, the trailer features Krypto the Superdog engaging in combat, delivering a flying punch to The Engineer. Krypto's fearless involvement in the battle underscores his role as a formidable ally to Superman.

The trailer also introduces more of Lex Luthor, portrayed by Nicholas Hoult, and Ultraman in action. We get extended scenes of Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific and Anthony Carrigan as Rex Mason/Metamorpho. The newly introduced character, The Hammer of Boravia, thought to be Ultraman in disguise, makes a striking appearance as teased in the previous trailer.

Central to the narrative is the relationship between Clark Kent and Lois Lane, depicted through an interview scene where Lois questions Superman about his controversial intervention in a foreign war. The discussion escalates into a heated argument about the ethics of his actions ("I wasn’t representing anyone except for me... and doing good!"). As a consequence, The Hammer of Boravia launches an attack on Downtown Metropolis.

In a poignant moment during the battle with The Hammer of Boravia, a civilian assists Superman out of a hole in the ground, showcasing a stark contrast to other scenes where the public reacts negatively, screaming and even throwing objects at him. This new trailer not only ramps up the anticipation for the film but also delves deeper into the complexities of Superman's world and relationships.
