Author:Kristen Update:Feb 26,2025

Week 2 of The Sims 4's Blast from the Past event presents a puzzling challenge: studying a Historical Display. This guide clarifies how to complete this task and addresses common issues players encounter.

Locating a Historical Display:

The Week 2 quest requires interaction with a Historical Display, found within museums. While several museums exist in the game, the Municipal Museum in Willow Creek and The Future's Past in Oasis Springs are conveniently located near other event tasks. Look for the museum icon on your map (it usually features pillars). Both paintings and sculptures qualify as Historical Displays.

Studying the Display:

Once inside a museum, locate a painting or sculpture. Click on it and select the "View" option. Successful interaction will be indicated by the appearance of the Emit icon, signifying quest completion.

Troubleshooting Common Issues:

Many players report difficulties with the "View" option, often attributed to mods. If you're experiencing this problem, consider temporarily disabling mods to see if that resolves the issue. If the problem persists, try interacting with multiple displays in different museums.

All Week 2 Quests:

Completing the Historical Display task is only one step in Week 2's challenges. The full list includes:
