Stellar Blade PC Version Rumors Surface

Stellar Blade's PC Port is on the Horizon! Shift Up, the game's developer, has hinted at a potential PC release for their popular action RPG, Stellar Blade. Executives recently revealed their intentions to explore this avenue, citing the significant PC gaming market and opportunities for further monetization of the IP.

PC Release Imminent?

During Shift Up's June 25th IPO press conference, CFO Ahn Jae-woo indicated that a PC version is under consideration. This decision, according to Ahn, takes into account the current PS5 market saturation and the shift in AAA game consumption towards PC platforms. While CEO Kim Hyung-Tae confirmed the review of a PC version, he couldn't provide a release date due to contractual obligations. This aligns with public filings indicating consideration of both a PC port and a potential sequel.

Kim also emphasized the company's aim to cultivate Stellar Blade into a high-value IP, building a global fanbase. This strategy includes avoiding potentially harmful microtransactions, a commitment they intend to demonstrate transparently to their players.

Future Updates and Collaborations

The Stellar Blade experience is set to expand further. An update roadmap includes features like Photo Mode (August), new costumes (October), and a major collaboration later this year. Regarding the recent collaboration with Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, Kim expressed optimism about creating positive synergy between the IPs.

Massive Success

Stellar Blade's success is undeniable. Within two months of launch, Shift Up estimates sales of approximately one million copies worldwide. The game also achieved top rankings in various markets, including the US and UK, across sixty different stores. Its Metacritic score of 9.2/10 reflects its widespread critical acclaim.
