Stellar Blade PC Release Speculation in Dev Interview

Shift Up, the developer behind Stellar Blade, has hinted at a potential PC port. While the game launched as a PS5 exclusive due to its partnership with Sony, recent comments suggest a PC release is under consideration.

Stellar Blade's success, including topping US sales charts in its launch month and achieving an 82 average OpenCritic rating, has fueled this interest. During an IPO press conference, CEO Kim Hyung-Tae stated that a PC port is being "considered," though contractual obligations with Sony prevent a concrete timeline. CFO Jae-woo Ahn further emphasized the shifting trend of AAA game consumers towards PC, suggesting a port would significantly boost the IP's value.

A previous financial report already indicated Shift Up was exploring both a sequel and a PC port for Stellar Blade. Given Sony's increasing trend of bringing PS5 exclusives to PC (with God of War: Ragnarok being the latest example), a Stellar Blade PC port seems increasingly likely.

While the decision on a PC port remains pending, Shift Up continues to refine the PS5 version. Recent updates, however, have introduced some graphical glitches, which the developer is actively addressing.
