StarCraft Mini-Set Arrives in 'Hearthstone'

Hearthstone's upcoming Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set, launching January 21st, boasts a record-breaking 49 new cards. This expansion, a crossover with Blizzard's StarCraft universe, introduces class and multi-class cards themed around the Zerg, Protoss, and Terran factions.

The Mini-Set features three cards per Hearthstone class, plus five faction-specific cards (including one Legendary) for each StarCraft race. These cards synergize with existing mechanics, such as the Starship mechanic from The Great Dark Beyond expansion. A single neutral Legendary card, Grunty, completes the set. Individual card reveals will continue throughout the week leading up to the launch.

Purchasing options include a full Mini-Set for $20 (or 2500 gold), a golden version for $80 (or 12,000 gold), or individual faction packs (Protoss, Terran, or Zerg) for $10 (or 1200 gold). These prices reflect the increased card count compared to previous Mini-Sets.

To celebrate the release, Blizzard is hosting two streamed events:

• StarCast (January 23, 10 AM PST): Featuring StarCraft legends TrumpSC and Day9.
• HearthCraft (January 24, 9 AM PST): Showcasing Hearthstone community creators representing each StarCraft faction.

Viewers of these Twitch streams will receive four packs – two standard The Great Dark Beyond packs and two golden versions.
