Star Wars: Hunters Shuts Down Before First Anniversary

Star Wars: Hunters, despite not completing its first year, is set to celebrate its one-year anniversary before its impending shutdown. This raises the question: is it worth celebrating the anniversary of a game on its way out? While the answer may vary, it's a moment to reflect on the game's journey and perhaps enjoy its final moments.

When Is the Star Wars: Hunters Shutdown?

The servers for Star Wars: Hunters are scheduled to shut down on October 1st, 2025, marking the end of the game just nine months after its launch. Players have until April 15th to wrap up Season 5, as the game's final content update, including the new Support Hunter Tuya for free, will be released on that day. In-game purchases will be disabled simultaneously.

Ranked Mode will remain active until the servers go offline, and events from the season will be rerun. It's crucial for players to use any unspent Crystals, as no refunds will be issued.

It Isn’t Shocking

The closure of Star Wars: Hunters isn't surprising. The game, announced in 2020, faced multiple delays and limited beta tests, only available in the SEA and ANZAC regions. Its launch lacked major console support and received a lukewarm reception. Additionally, the game's design choice to use generic original characters instead of iconic Star Wars legends might have contributed to its downfall.

If you've uninstalled the game but are interested in one last experience, Star Wars: Hunters remains available for download on the Google Play Store until the shutdown.
