Author:Kristen Update:Dec 16,2025

Fans of the iconic 1990s animated series Spider-Man have eagerly awaited a revival, especially following the successful launch of X-Men '97 in 2024. Although a new animated season isn't currently in development—Marvel is focusing on upcoming seasons of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man—the studio will extend this beloved storyline through comics with Spider-Man '94.

Spider-Man '94 is a four-issue limited series that directly follows the unresolved cliffhanger from the 1998 finale. The story reunites Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson in New York, setting the stage for Spider-Man to confront two legendary villains making their first appearance in this animated world. Penned by veteran Spider-Man writer J.M. DeMatteis, who also contributed to the original series, the comic features artwork by Jim Towe and cover designs by Nick Bradshaw, Ron Lim, and John Tyler Christopher.
