Announced at New York Comic Con's Marvel Games showcase, the PC version promises a top-tier experience. Developed and optimized by Nixxes Software in collaboration with Insomniac Games, PlayStation, and Marvel Games, expect ray tracing, ultrawide monitor support, and extensive graphical customization options. Nixxes, known for their excellent PlayStation-to-PC ports (Horizon, Ghost of Tsushima), ensures a smooth transition.

"Bringing the Spider-Man games to PC has been fantastic," stated Nixxes' Community Manager, Julian Huijbregts. Insomniac's Core Technology Director, Mike Fitzgerald, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the PC version's tailored features for keyboard/mouse and ultrawide displays. Note that DualSense controller features won't be replicated.

The PC release boasts all post-launch updates from the PS5 version, including twelve new suits (Symbiote styles included), New Game+, "Ultimate Levels," new time-of-day options, post-game achievements, enhanced Photo Mode, and more for Digital Deluxe Edition owners. However, no new story content will be added.

PSN Account Requirement: A Point of Contention

A concerning aspect is the requirement of a PlayStation Network (PSN) account, a trend impacting several PlayStation PC ports. This excludes players in regions lacking PSN access, raising concerns about accessibility. While Sony previously reversed a similar policy for Helldivers 2, the issue remains a point of debate for single-player titles requiring PSN linking.
