South Park Season 27 Premiere Date Unveiled in Bold New Trailer

Author:Kristen Update:Aug 02,2025

The iconic quartet—Stan, Kyle, Kenny, and Cartman—returns to South Park for more irreverent adventures. Season 27’s release is now official, with the Colorado crew tackling today’s chaos in their signature, barely-coping style.

The animated hit dropped a gripping trailer for the new season, initially teasing a high-stakes drama with intense cuts and moody music. The ruse breaks when Randy, Stan’s dad, and his sister Shelley appear, with Randy casually asking if she’s tried drugs to “help her out,” all set against a Wicked movie poster on her bedroom wall.

South Park Season 27 debuts Wednesday, July 9th.

The trailer shifts back to high-octane action, hinting at major topical storylines: plane crashes, the Statue of Liberty toppling, a P. Diddy cameo, and a brewing conflict with Canada—a nod longtime fans might see coming, especially after the 1999 film South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut.

The teaser confirms the season kicks off on July 9, 2025, on Comedy Central, marking over two years since Season 26 wrapped. Since then, the show has released three specials: 2023’s South Park: Joining the Panderverse and South Park (Not Suitable For Children), plus 2024’s South Park: The End of Obesity.

South Park marked its 25th anniversary in 2022, having burst onto Comedy Central in 1997 to instant acclaim.
