Sony Unveils Sleek Midnight Black PlayStation 5 Accessories

Sony has unveiled its new Midnight Black Collection for PlayStation 5, adding a sophisticated dark aesthetic to four popular accessories. The collection includes the DualSense Edge wireless controller, PlayStation Portal handheld remote player, Pulse Elite wireless headset, and Pulse Explore wireless earbuds.

The collection's pricing is as follows:

Pre-orders begin January 16th, 2025, with a full launch on February 20th, 2025, exclusively at direct.playstation.com.

This launch follows Sony's previous color releases for the DualSense controller (Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue, Galactic Purple, and Chroma variants), catering to a wider range of player preferences. The Midnight Black DualSense Edge controller features a modern design and includes a dedicated carrying case. The Pulse Elite headset, while more expensive than its predecessor, also includes a carrying case (in felt gray). The Pulse Explore earbuds offer a premium in-ear audio experience.

Beyond the Midnight Black Collection, Sony continues to expand its accessory lineup with themed DualSense controllers, such as the recently announced limited-edition Helldivers 2 controller.
