Sony Promotes PSN Sign-Up for The Last of Us 2 PC with Exclusive Ellie Skin

Sony has officially unveiled the PC specifications for *The Last of Us Part II Remastered* ahead of its eagerly anticipated release on April 3. Alongside the specs, Sony announced enticing PSN sign-in incentives and exciting new content for the No Return Mode, which will be available on both PC and PlayStation 5 platforms.

In a comprehensive post on the PlayStation Blog, Naughty Dog detailed the enhancements brought to the PC version by support studios Nixxes Software and Iron Galaxy. This remastered edition, arriving a year after its PlayStation 5 counterpart, promises a robust set of features tailored for PC gamers.

The game also supports ultrawide monitors, allowing players to enjoy the game in 21:9 ultra-wide, 32:9 super ultra-wide, and even 48:9 resolutions, with compatibility for triple-monitor setups. For those seeking the highest visual fidelity, 4K resolution is supported, along with various controllers and keyboard and mouse inputs. The audio experience is elevated with 3D audio capabilities.

For keyboard and mouse users, the game offers new control customization options, including full control remapping, primary and secondary bindings, and an adaptive mode that combines keyboard and controller inputs. DualSense controllers benefit from full haptic feedback, enhancing the immersive experience.

“The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC offers a wide range of graphics settings and presets, to ensure the best possible experience on hardware ranging from high-end PCs to handheld gaming devices,” Sony stated, emphasizing the game's versatility across different hardware.

The Last of Us Part 2 PC Specs:

Turning our attention to the No Return mode, Naughty Dog is introducing two new characters: Bill and Marlene from *The Last of Us Part I*. Bill embodies the "Smuggler" playstyle, with access to a custom pump shotgun from dead drops and double rewards from drops, though he is vulnerable to melee attacks and cannot dodge. Marlene, on the other hand, adopts the "Risk Taker" playstyle, equipped with a Custom Assault Rifle and the ability to engage in "All or Nothing" gambits, rerouting her No Return path once per run.

Four new maps are also being added to No Return, enriching the gameplay with diverse environments:

• Overlook: Set high above Seattle, this map features verticality and is the site of a memorable Seraphites encounter from the campaign.
• School: An abandoned elementary school where Ellie and Dina face off against the W.L.F.
• Streets: Located in the overgrown Seattle neighborhood of Hillcrest.
• Nest: Familiar to players who played as Abby through an Infected-infested building.

All the new No Return content, along with new Trophies and bug fixes, will be available on PS5 through a free downloadable 2.0.0 patch on the same day as the PC launch, Sony confirmed.

In line with Sony's recent policy changes regarding PlayStation Network requirements, *The Last of Us Part II Remastered* on PC features an optional PSN log-in. Logging in to PSN provides players with access to the PlayStation overlay and PSN Trophies, as well as 50 in-game points to unlock bonus features. Additionally, players who sign in will receive a new skin for Ellie featuring Jordan A. Mun's jacket from Naughty Dog's upcoming PS5 game, *Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet*.

PS5 players will also have the opportunity to unlock the Jordan's jacket skin through the 2.0 patch using in-game bonus points, Sony clarified.

Earlier this month, *The Last of Us* director Neil Druckmann shared insights into *Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet* during an interview with Alex Garland, the writer of *28 Days Later*. Druckmann revealed that the game has been in development for four years and aims to explore themes of faith and religion in an alternate historical timeline, with Tati Gabrielle starring as Jordan A. Mun.

The PC release of *The Last of Us Part II Remastered* comes ahead of Season 2 of HBO's acclaimed TV adaptation, where showrunners Druckmann and Craig Mazin have confirmed the return of spores, which were omitted from Season 1.
