The Sims will celebrate its 25th anniversary with lots of free items

Electronic Arts recently hosted a livestream event to commemorate the 25th anniversary of The Sims franchise. The event showcased exciting free gifts and in-game events planned for The Sims 4 players.

The festivities have already begun with a new update. This update addresses various bugs, features a revamped main menu, and boasts improved game optimization. Several classic houses in Willow Creek and Oasis Springs have received a stylish makeover. These updated homes are available immediately for new game starts, and existing saves can access them via the in-game library.

The main anniversary celebration commences on February 4th. A significant update will introduce over 70 brand-new, free items! Simultaneously, a special in-game event, "Blast from the Past," will launch. Players can unlock retro-themed items and a complete collectible set by completing a series of straightforward challenges.

Further enhancing the celebrations, a new season called "Motherlode" will debut in The Sims 4 on February 6th. Details surrounding this new season remain undisclosed, adding an element of surprise.
