On January 15th, he hinted at a significant upcoming event, urging followers to "keep your eyes closed tomorrow." This, coupled with the leaked Switch 2 reveal on January 16th, 2025, naturally led to questions about Silksong. However, it was Pellen's subsequent profile picture change that truly fueled the flames.

On January 16th, coinciding with the Switch 2 announcement and the reveal of an upcoming Nintendo Direct on April 2nd, 2025, Pellen changed his profile picture to a slice of cake. A reverse image search revealed the image originated from a Bon Appetit article featuring a Brooklyn Blackout Cake recipe, published on April 2nd, 2024.

Adding to the intrigue, Pellen commented "mmmm tasty" on the article itself. Dedicated fans scrutinized both the cake and the comments, with one even vowing to bake the cake if Silksong news arrived by April 2nd, 2025. Another fan commented on the "silky texture," cleverly linking it to the game.
