How To Get Shiny Keldeo & Shiny Meltan in Pokemon Home

Shiny Keldeo and Meltan are now available in Pokémon Home (version 3.2.2 and later), but obtaining them requires completing specific tasks. While challenging, acquiring Shiny Keldeo is particularly rewarding, as it was previously unobtainable legitimately and Shiny-locked. Both Shiny Keldeo and Shiny Meltan can then be transferred to other compatible Pokémon games linked to your Home account.

Unlocking Shiny Keldeo:

To obtain Shiny Keldeo, complete the Galar Pokédex in Pokémon Home. This includes entries from Pokémon Sword & Shield, along with the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLCs. Crucially, Pokémon must possess the Galar origin mark (a slanted Poké Ball icon above their stats) to register. Completing the Pokédexes in Sword & Shield itself is insufficient. After completing the Galar Pokédex, claim Shiny Keldeo via the "Mystery Gift" option (accessible through the three-line menu icon). There's no deadline for claiming it.

Unlocking Shiny Meltan:

Similarly, Shiny Meltan is unlocked by completing the Kanto Pokédex in Pokémon Home using Pokémon from Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee. These Pokémon must have the Let's Go marker (a Pikachu silhouette above their stats). Claim Shiny Meltan through the "Mystery Gift" option once the Pokédex is complete. Like Keldeo, there's no time limit.

Troubleshooting Pokédex Registration Issues:

If your Pokédex isn't registering Pokémon correctly (a common mobile issue), clear your Pokémon Home app cache. Follow these steps:

1. Open the app and tap the three-line menu icon in the top-right corner of the title screen.
2. Select "Clear Cache."
